I've finally put the christmas decorations up today. Looking pretty good as well.
Would you believe that my local ASDA/Walmart superstore were selling christmas trees in August!! That's disgusting.

Had to get 3 replacement bulbs for the tree lights, an improvement on last year's 4. The all time record without having to get a new set is 8, set just 2 years ago. Since the room was decorated in the summer it's been much perkier and I think this year it's all coming together.

After consulting and subsequently being thrown out of the frugal living newsgroup, I've got a budget of £15 to spend on christmas pressies. That needs to cater for mum, dad, Stuart (brother), Joshua (brother) and Daniella (sister). Yep, this year'll be a tight one but the whole family's had to tighten their belts due to rising council tax bills, the ridiculous amounts of tax on petrol and the fact that the car's been in more collisions than Crash Bandicoot.

I've just got a new soundcard: M-Audio Delta 410 and I'll be reviewing it in the next week.

I'm gonna be writing down my thoughts on Linux and Windows, the difficulties in both camps and why I eventually (and I do mean eventually) settled on XP as my OS. They'll also be some discussion on OS X.

Desptie the fact that I've got a WinCustomize account and own Windowblinds, I don't use it. I'm gonna tell you how I've changed my XP out of all recognition and it's cost me absolutely nothing. Now I love Stardock's work but I aim to outline the free alternatives that will turn your OS into a beautiful and most importantly productive environment.
